Truffle honey is a Tuscan delicacy, made by infusing slivers of real truffle into sweet honey. The intense aromas of truffle honey go particularly well with ricotta and blue cheeses.
We first discovered truffle honey in La Cave a fromage where it was served to us deliciously drizzled over some soft Époisses cheese as part of a cheese platter. The honey has a savoury richness which means it’s also delicious drizzled over grilled meats. It’s pretty strong so you only need a drop or two.
