In what has been deemed the ‘World’s 3rd Most Amazing Cheese Shop’ (The Daily Telegraph August 2015) you can spend a relaxed evening slowly working your way through a bottle (or two) of wine accompanied by some fantastic cheeses and plates of charcuterie.
The venue holds regular Raclette and Fondue nights throughout the winter, or you can book a table most evenings and choose a cheese platter from the menu.
Having visited twice, we have sampled the Journey through cheese experience – three different cheeses along with three different meats, each paired with the other including three paired glasses of wine and we have also ordered freely from the menu.

The amazing truffle honey that was drizzled on one of our stinky cheeses on a cheese platter
The blue cheese paired with dessert wine was fantastic
The relaxed and not overly busy environment
The decorations on the well of cheese labels
Popping in to buy something and getting tempted with their interesting offering of cheeses to taste
If you like cheese there isn’t really anything to dislike
I love this shop. As a shop, the cheese selection is always good and the staff can advise on and sell you matching wine that goes well with your cheese.
As an evening venue, it’s a fantastic experience that I would recommend to any cheese lover, and it is good value for money.
I’ve yet to try the raclette or fondue but it always looks and smells enticing.
Overall rating: 9/10
Cost of food: £22 per person for their ‘Journey through cheese’ experience – A selection of three different cheeses along with three different meats, each paired with the other including three paired glasses of wine (3x125ml). Well worth it!
